An accomplished design leader within Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, Jacob Marks exhibits a proven ability to interpret business, market and user needs and consistently translate findings into design criteria and tangible products. A strong front-end thinker and research-driven innovator, Jacob develops, hones and articulates new ideas that fuse great product design with customer aspirations. He particularly values solutions that combine purposeful concepts with functional beauty.
In his 15-year design career, Jacob has brought to market 50+ consumer products for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies and holds numerous utility and design patents in various industries. Prior to specializing in medical devices for sports medicine, he created holistic design solutions for well-known brands, ranging from Black and Decker, Delta and Keurig to Staples, CVS, Honeywell and Kimberly-Clark.
Jacob received his degree in Industrial Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is honored to bring his perspective as a practicing industry professional and designer of user-focused healthcare products, medical devices, consumer products, housewares and home décor to the distinguished 2018 K-Design Jury.
