Description(English)	It is the narrative of ‘folk belief’, expressing the characteristics of the locality of Shindang-dong. The focus is placed on the concept that customers have a fun and easy perception without unilaterally relying on religious aspects. It was intended to be a space of the ‘Mysterious Forest of the Zodiac’ and was staged to take advantage of the twelve animals of the Eastern Zodiac with which all Koreans are familiar, evoking the image of drinking a cup of wine amidst sparkling spiritual forces in the mysterious forest, as if guarded by the animals of the Zodiac.
Description(Native)	신당동은 과거에는 시구문(시체가 나가는 문)이라 불리는 광희문의 동쪽에 위치하여 무당들의 집성촌으로 이루어져 있었고 이 지역을 신당이라 하였다. 현재는 중앙시장, 황학동 주방시장, 동묘시장, 가구거리 등의 시장이 즐비해 있고 간간히 점집도 보이는 신당동에서 '장소성'과 '지역성'을 담은 공간을 구축하고자 하였다. 따라서 우리는 신당동의 지역성을 담아 '민속 신앙'으로 이야기를 시작하기로 했다. 가능하다면 과거와 현재의 시간이 공존하고 또 다르게 해석되기도 하는 공간을 연출하고자 하였다. 그리고 종교적으로 한 쪽으로 치우치지 않되 고객들이 '쉽고 재미있게 인식 할 수 있어야 한다'는 것으로 그 방향을 좁혀 나갔다. 이에 우리나라 사람이라면 누구나 알고 있는 12마리의 띠, '십이지신(十二支神)'을 컨텐츠로 '십이지신의 신비한 숲 (The Forest of Zodiac)'이라는 공간을 연출키로 하였다. 마치 십이지신이 수호하고 있는 비밀스러운 숲에서, 십이지신의 신묘한 힘이 담긴 술 한 잔 마시는 모습을 상상하길 바라면서 말이다.
