This work space came from a revamp of 3-story terraced house built in 1972. The execution aims to sustain multicultural undertones of the past and new era, and coexistence with practical function. Considering a better habitation and earth-friendly approaches, expand exposure to daylighting instead of adding illumination devices. Integrate obsolete tiles, bronze slabs, and vernacular stones, into patterned flooring at passage. Ancient Taiwanese tin-glazed tileworks were preserved upstairs. Mix with new flooring material, creating an intriguing connection between classic and contemporary.
