Description(English)	When producing a hereditary chair, what is more important than ensuring its functions is finding ways to incorporate visual aesthetics. I am using Chinese traditional Ming Dynasty style as my blueprint, borrowing its elegant and simple exterior design. And through enhancement of overall structural system, a unique arc structure is used as the support. The design is further complemented by the mortice and tenon joint as the reinforcing linkage between parts, bringing betterment to the complex composition found in old-fashioned traditional furniture.
Description(Native)	「靈魂之椅」由我自身的使用方式作為設計思考的切入點，由於長期以來透過打坐、冥想的過程舒緩身心、釋放壓力，因此，希冀座椅的設計能反映出一個全然放鬆的身體狀態。在造型設計上著重功能導向，使用者以端正的坐姿端坐其中，透過高度及腰的靠背與扶手，正好恰如其分地支撐了人體上半身的重量。微微外凸的椅背弧度，將身體納於其中，此種腰靠型的座椅設計，支撐了人的身體，讓肩、頸、腰與四肢，都得以卸下緊繃，彷彿產生了一股被抱擁般的安心感。 作為一把傳家之椅，除了功能性的考量外，更重要的是如何兼顧視覺美學，我以中國傳統的明式家具為藍本，吸取其典雅、素樸的視覺外觀與比例原則，再藉由結構系統的改善，以特殊的圓弧形結構作為連結椅腳與椅座之間的支撐，輔以榫接的設計強化構件與構件之間的連結性，以此改善了過往傳統家具複雜的構造，在強化座椅的力學系統之餘，也形構了簡約而空靈的外在形貌。 一把越坐越健康的椅子，在具備精準、符合人體比例的設計之外，材料的選擇亦同等重要，我特別以出產自印尼蘇拉維西島出產的黑檀木為主要構材，其細密的材質與深黑的色澤紋路，完美地演繹了椅子所應呈現的沉穩感受，搭配椅腳的金屬紅銅管與紫色的Nappa牛皮椅墊，共構了一張同時交融了和諧、典雅、穩固、永續性，並能與之對話的坐椅－靈魂之椅。
