Description(English)	An office where functions become architecture Lestas is a company that has economized their services. Similarly, we designed their office functions to be used only when needed. Functions consist of many small but essential parts. We turned these parts into architecture, so they disappear while still fulfilling their function. Now the office better embodies Lestas’ services. With today’s information overload, turning functions into architecture means selecting what’s needed and, instead of just adding, incorporating to realize a physical form. We think that within this form lies a pure beauty.
Description(Native)	機能を建築化するオフィス 販促物にオリジナルの名入れが可能なサービスを提供なさっている株式会社レスタスのオフィスである。 発注者の手間や時間を沢山要したこのサービスをレスタスは無駄なタスクを省くため IT 化し、 よりスマートにサービスが提供できる技術を構築した。 私たちはデザインするにあたり、レスタスのタスクを省くという理念から着想し、 そこにあるオフィスとしての機能が必要時のみスマートに使用できるような存在にならないかをテーマとした。 機能を建築にプラスしていくのではなく機能を建築化し、機能としても建築としてもなくてはならない存在にできないかを考察した。 建具は場所と場所を間仕切り繋ぐための大切な要素であり機能である。 しかしながらその為には機能を満たすためにハンドルや丁番、枠など沢山の建具を構成するために必要な要素が付随される。 私たちはこの機能を満たすために必要な要素を機能を満たしながら消すために建築化した。 この時の建具は建築の壁であり建具である両方を満たし、共になくてはならない存在となる。 機能を建築化するためのディテールを徹底することでレスタスという会社の理念とリンクし、よりスマートでレスタスらしいサービスを体現できるオフィスとなった。 機能を建築化するという行為は情報過多な現代において、本当に必要な情報を取捨選択しプラスしていくのではなく実体として取り込み、その集積が建築の姿として建ち現れることであり、その姿にこそ真に純化された美しさがあるのではないかと考える。
