Description(English) | In general, senior citizens are afflicted with degenerative arthritis in the knee, hip joint and spine and have to rely on assistive devices for walking. Such devices, unfortunately, cause wrist pain or add an extra burden to the back. The proposed assistive device sits under the armpit like crutches comfortably and safely, reduces pain and allows for even distribution of weight. With the length and height easily adjustable to each user’s body, it can be folded for storage. It is versatile as it becomes a shopping bag once unfolded, and a folding chair once lowered. |
