Description(English)	The Bataizi Bell Tower was built in Qing Guangxu two years (1876) in China, belonging to the Gothic architecture style.It was destroyed in wars and only left a single tower. On the basis of protecting the historical building, we designed it with the concept of "symbiosis"-- The symbiosis of chinese and western cultures (architectural elements); The symbiosis of history and current (materials); The symbiosis of locals and tourists (functions). We hope this project can remind people to rediscover the value of these forgotten historical buildings.
Description(Native)	八台子大单巴位于中国的山西省与内蒙古的交接点，建于清光绪二年（1876年），属于哥特式建筑风格，这座教堂先后在不同的战争中被损，只剩下一个塔楼，象征着古老的中华文明和西方文明发生冲突与交汇融合的那一段历史见证。而这座拥有丰富历史的教堂却已被人们遗忘，没有得到保护且无人问津。 我们重新测绘了它的数据并在保护历史遗迹的前提下以”共生“为概念对它进行了设计改造。其中包括中西方文化的共生（体现在设计中使用了哥特式建筑元素和中国传统建筑的元素）；历史和当下的共生（体现在保留历史遗迹和加入现代材料）；当地人和游客的共生（教堂位于八台子村旁，村中只剩下留守的孤独老人。通过功能和流线的设计，让老人和游客得到独立和相互沟通的空间）。 出于对历史遗迹的保护，我们利用教堂的地理位置和山坡地形，将新功能区放在地下一层，包括礼拜堂，展览区，休息区和活动室，其中供当地人使用的礼拜堂有独立的出入口。有趣的楼梯和电梯将地下层和塔楼废墟连接，不仅可以满足不同游客的需求，也可以通过楼梯攀登塔楼近距离接触历史遗迹，在高出欣赏美丽的草原风光。除此之外，运用了中西建筑传统元素设计了灯具，壁柜，支架等一系列家具。 作为一个综合共享的历史空间，我们希望建筑是“共生”，文化和人文也是。
