Description(English)	Local cuisine Aoyagi, which has continued to transmit Kumamoto's food and culture. 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, in renovating the building, the concept of "connecting the value of Higo to the future" was reconfirmed, and the aim was to embody the concept as a spatial design, to become a symbol of reconstruction, and to create further value. To embody the concept, Kumamoto motifs fused with traditional Kumamoto technology were incorporated throughout the design. While inheriting traditional values, we embodied an image of a link from tradition to the future by integrating a sophisticated space and new design items.
Description(Native)	熊本城の城下町にある昭和２４年創業の熊本郷土料理青柳は、日本舞踊や熊本城本丸御膳など熊本の食や文化を発信し続けてきた店舗である。２０１６年の熊本地震を経て、改築するにあたり肥後の価値を未来につなぐというコンセプトを再認識し、復興のシンボルとなるような熊本の伝統や文化を反映しつつ未来へ繋ぐイメージを持った斬新なデザインを目指した。　 外観には熊本の県花りんどうをモチーフにデザインした透かしアルミキャストで囲んだ。通風と採光を穏やかにコントロールする機能もありながら、風土になじむ素材を用いて、粋で活気ある城下町の情景を浮かべるようなデザインにした。エントランスには熊本城の石垣『武者返し』と水の都熊本であることをイメージした滝があり、外観ともに大規模なスケールであることによって街のシンボルとなるようなデザインにしている。 地上５階の客室は、それぞれの客室ごとに熊本モチーフのデザインを随所に組み込んでいる。阿蘇五岳を描いた美術組子、熊本城本丸を彷彿とさせる格天上、花丸図の金箔絵。それぞれが熊本の伝統工芸作家や銘木などと融合させてモダン風のデザインアイテムとして製作。また、旧店舗に残されていた熊本ならではの肥後六花をあしらった御影石や銀杏のカウンター天板は再利用した。伝統的価値観を受け継いだ上で洗練された空間と新たなデザインのアイテムと一体化させることで伝統から未来へ繋ぐイメージを形にしました。
