Description(English)	MDCG is a community-based open factory that produces automotive parts. The steel structure of the old factory warehouse was preserved and used as a design element, while new finishes and concepts such as polycarbonate were applied. In particular, various achromatic properties were unified so that the color gradation, a visual brand identity, could stand out. Through this, the design goal of coexistence of new and old values was most intuitively revealed. An open lounge (community lounge) was created to allow natural communication to occur by overlapping the movements of production workers (Operator/Engineer), management workers, and visitors.
Description(Native)	지역기반의 중견제조업체인 태림산업의 MDCG 는 자동차 부품을 생산하는 커뮤니티 기반의 오픈팩토리이다. 40년 된 공장 창고의 철골 구조체를 그대로 유지하며 내부공간을 새롭게 구성하고 새로운 외부 마감재와 조화롭게 어우러지도록 하였다. 이를 통해 기성 세대가 쌓아온 신뢰의 가치를 현재 세대의 기술로 보완하여 시너지를 낸다는 기업의 이미지와 공간의 기획 목표를 선명하게 드러내고자 하였다. 1층과 2층을 오가는 동선의 경우 오픈형 휴게실 (커뮤니티 라운지) 이 조성되어 생산직 근로자 (Operator/Engineer) 와 관리직 근로자, 방문자의 동선이 자연스럽게 겹치도록 하였는데, 이는 생산직 근로자와 관리직 근로자 사이의 정보의 편차와 소통의 부재로 발생할 수 있는 문제들을 보완하여 업무환경의 개선을 도모하기 위함이다. 기존의 철골 구조체가 그대로 노출되는 공간의 특성을 적극적으로 활용하여, 다양한 무채색 물성을 바탕으로 시각 브랜드 아이덴티티인 컬러 그라디언트가 돋보일 수 있도록 내부 요소를 통일하였다. 콘크리트, 복합강판, 폴리카보네이트, 유리 등 다양한 투과도와 무게감을 지는 물성들 위에 놓여진 얇은 선 위주의 그래픽과 그라디언트가 대비를 이루며 이지적인 느낌을 연출하고, 스마트한 개념의 표현에 힘을 실었다.
