Description(English)	The client asked for a universal plan to create a compact house for them to live and eventually pass it on to their son. At this time, we cannot determine what the future plan will be, how large it will be, or whether it is the "home" to live in. If so, what about leaving a "poised" for the use of the entire site, not "housing". Therefore, we decided to arrange only three walls that are 100% structurally resistant. By attaching the volume necessary for two people to live on this wall, we created a compact living space, and it would be possible to incorporate the remaining site into the internal space by extending to the lower stage.
Description(Native)	夫婦で暮らすためのコンパクトな住宅をつくり、いずれ息子へ受け継ぐための普遍的な計画が求められた。 将来的な計画がどのような家族構成でどれ程の規模を想定するのか、あるいは住むための「住宅」であるかも現時点では決めることができない。それであれば受け継ぐのは「住宅」ではなく、敷地全体を満遍なく利用するための「構え」を残すのはどうだろうか。 内部は最大で9.1m x 7.28mの空間を自由に使うことができ、このスパンを4m程度の流通材のみで構成するために互いに梁を受け合うレシプロカルな梁の掛け方を採用した。このスパンを住空間として家具や収納で仕切ることで将来的にも自由に使おうという計画である。できるだけ内部に光を取り入れるために目一杯の開口部を設けたが、周囲と同様に傾斜に合わせた東向きに構えることで採光とプライバシー性を同時に確保する建ち方となった。 道路側ファサードで木部材をT型に合成した「T-joint-beam」によって3枚の壁を繋ぐことで単一材では弱軸となる横からの風圧にも抵抗する計画とし、木部材の合成はGIR(グルード・イン・ロッド)接合とすることで金物の露出をせず小断面の梁だけで7.28mを掛け渡すことが可能となった。この「T-joint-beam」を掛ける間隔に少し変化を与えることで道路からの視線を遮りながら遠くまでの景色を望むことができる。その立つ位置や視線の高さによって街や景色の見え方が微妙に変化し、物理的な壁でなく感覚的な距離によって街との繋がりを意識する家となった。
