Eui-Young Chun is a president of Korean Institute of Architects (K.I.A.) and a professor at department of architecture, Kyonggi University. He has worked for Seoul Metropolitan City Government as a director general for Seoul Architecture Festival since 2019. He was the director general of Gwangju Folly III, which was an exemplary model of public participation in an urban architecture project with the theme of everydayness in the city. The project was awarded the presidential prize for the excellence of space culture from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2017. Chun received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Seoul National University and a master’s degree from Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. from Seoul National University. In 2009, he also served as director general of the Seoul Design Olympiad for Seoul City.
