Description(English)	The low entrance, embodying the Japanese aesthetic sense of scale, accentuates the spaciousness of the lobby. By repeating uniform design elements throughout the facility, we strove to convey a strong visual impression of the space to the visitors. The gabled-roofed guest rooms clustered around the hotel structure evoke a sense of nostalgia. Each guest room has a relaxed feel thanks to the high triangular ceiling. While enclosed in a walled garden for privacy, every guest room with an open-air bath is surrounded by trees and the clear sky of Tokachi. And there flows a serene stream of time.
Description(Native)	樹林に囲まれ建物は道路からは全容が見えず、白樺の並木道を進むと旅亭が見えだし、やがて車寄せに到着、玄関アプローチを進み低い入り口により日本的なスケール感をつくりそこをくぐり抜けると、大きな寄せ棟の縦格子屋根がお出迎えする、そこは開放感を増大させたロビー空間である。複雑な操作はせずおおらかさと、馬房的な感覚で十勝らしさを表現した。ダイニング棟を含め統一したデザインエレメントを繰り返すことにより、訪れたお客様たちに空間の印象を強く感じとっていただきたいと考えたからである。 切り妻屋根の客室は、軒を列ね房を形成し、その様子はノスタルジーを感じ、さらに粗い型枠のコンクリート打ち放しが空間を抽象化させ往時を表現している。 各房は高い舟形天井になっていておおらかな空間である。房は中庭で囲まれプライバシーを完全に確保しながらも周辺の樹木や清々しい十勝の空が空間を包み込み中庭の露天風呂や室内には静かで清らかな時間が流れている。
