Description(English)	Aichi Prefecture's renowned manufacturing industry continues to create exceptional "masterpieces," showcasing its talent, technology, and traditions. This installation symbolizes this creative process, intricately carving local wood on a 5-axis machine for innovative expression. Enhanced by the wood's beautiful grain, it promotes timber's allure. The shape of the cloth hanging down is the shape output by the physics simulation and faithfully reproduces the change in shape caused by the weight of the sphere. Dubbed "the source of masterpieces," the cypress sphere embodies creation's elements, alongside Aichi's graceful flowers.
Description(Native)	愛知県は県産木材のプロモーションと利用促進を目指し、公館のエントランスに愛知県産のスギやヒノキを用いたモニュメントを設置しました。モノづくりが盛んな愛知県には多彩な才能や技術、伝統文化が息づき、その中から今も素晴らしい「傑作」が生み出され続けている。この作品はそんな傑作の創造プロセスをシンボリックに表現している。曲線や曲面多用した複雑なデザインは、3DCADでデザインされ、そのCADデータをもとに5軸加工機で木材を3D形状に削り出すデジタル化されたプロセスを経て実現している。本作品は、最新テクノロジーと職人の技を融合した高度なものづくりで、県産材を活かした新たな表現に挑戦した。 飾り棚と花台は、正面から見ると天井と連続するデザインで、加工された杉材の美しい木目は、公館の訪問者に触れてもらうことで木材の魅力とモノづくりの盛んな愛知県をアピールしている。網状の天井は、布が垂れたような形状になっている。これは物理シミュレーションによって出力しており、中央の球体の重みによって形状が変化する様子を忠実に再現している。そして、天井に設置されたヒノキの球体は「傑作の源」と名付けられ、愛知県産の美しい花と共に、傑作が生まれる元となる目には見えない部分をシンボリックに表現しています。
