The old houses with patterned tiles carry the beautiful stories of Taiwan. The "Dragon Tile" project derives from a century of memories, recreating the old patterned tiles. This year being the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese tradition, the dragon is seen as a legendary creature in Chinese mythology, folklore, and culture, possessing characteristics such as a dragon head, snake body, claws, and wings. By presenting the tiles in a boxed set with modern lines, the "Dragon" is given a new lease on life. Combining the theme of the Dragon Year, the project has designed new patterned tiles that preserve the tile culture in a fresh manner.
