Description(English)	Under the value of "Be a Calligrapher!" Yeongwol-gun developed Yeongwol typeface to develop and distribute high-quality public typefaces in the region, Korea, and overseas for free. Among the 243 local governments across the country, it wanted to develop Korean and practical calligraphy-typeface besides Gothic (Minburi) and Myeongjo (Buri) typeface. In particular, it tried to capture Yeongwol's identity by developing it in a form that matches the natural scenery of Yeongwol, and used popular handwriting as a form of Korean design.
Description(Native)	The design was completed in a form that meets all KS1001:2004 standards of 2,350 characters in Korean, 94 characters in English, and 984 characters in special characters. In particular, it is designed so that the reading of the number 1, English L (small letter L), consonants and vowels can be clear, and it is designed not to deviate from the standard of Pictogram so that it can be read well in international standards. Considering the visual weakness, excessive strokes of the font were minimized to make it a typeface that can be read well.
