Director. Joonghyun Cho
KOREA / Deudance
Joonghyun Cho began his career as a brand designer at Naver and later served as the Chief Design Officer (CDO) at an IT proptech startup. He is currently leading Studio Deudance, a brand design studio dedicated to creating functional designs that drive business growth. Additionally, he serves as a design expert advisor at D.CAMP, a startup accelerator. He has participated in exhibitions such as Korea NOW! at the Louvre’s National Museum of Decorative Arts, the 5th Typojanchi, and the Russia Typomania Festival. His work has been featured in publications like étape (France) and It's Nice That (USA).
He has also been invited to conduct design workshops at institutions such as the Moscow Art University, Kun Shan University in Taiwan, and Hongik University in Korea. Furthermore, he has spoken at major design events, including the Design Korea Festival, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Korean design promotion, and Adobe’s Make It conference.
In addition, he has spearheaded the Daegang Poster Project, collaborating with Korean designers to reinterpret traditional Korean content into posters. His design work spans a wide range of projects, from retail branding for spaces such as Osechill in Hapjeong, Slit in Hongdae, Zagmachi and Orer in Seongsu-dong, Hibarin in Hannam-dong, and Cheagbar, a bar frequented by musician Chang-wan Kim, to visual identity projects for Ilmin Museum of Art’s Immortal Love, as well as rebranding efforts for startups such as Tal-ing and LawTalk.
