Description(English) | Public School 9 encourages exploration to help students achieve lifelong success, as celebrated in its mosaic “Man in Space”. The challenge was for PS9’s new identity to embody the spirit of exploration while highlighting its academic excellence as well as being easy for teachers to use. The new system is anchored in a simple grid and illustrations with an intentional misprint effect. The type system combines an academic yet approachable serif with a bold sans inspired by 1970s/80’s sci-fi paperbacks. The result is a simple yet striking brand identity which reflects PS9’s core values. |
