Description(English)	The world experiences an average of 100 rainy days per year, yet a significant amount of rainwater goes to waste. Unlike tap water, rainwater is free of limestone, making it an eco-friendly resource that does not harden the soil and maintains its natural purity. This project started with the idea of utilizing rainwater to help single-person households care for plants more easily. By incorporating the flow of rainwater as a design element, RAINDROP proposes a way to actively engage with nature in daily life, rather than merely consuming it passively.
Description(Native)	전세계의 연평균 강수일은 약 100일에 달하며, 이때 버려지는 빗물의 양은 상당합니다. 빗물은 석회질이 없어 토양을 경화시키지 않고, 자연 그대로의 순수한 상태를 유지하는 친환경 자원입니다. 이를 활용해 1인 가구가 손쉽게 식물을 돌볼 수 있도록 하는 것이 프로젝트의 출발점이었습니다. 빗물의 흐름을 디자인 요소로 삼아, 자연을 수동적으로 소비하는 것이 아니라 일상에서 능동적으로 받아들이고 경험하는 방식을 제안합니다. 1인 가구의 생활 방식은 효율성과 자기 돌봄(self-care)에 집중하는 방향으로 변화하고 있습니다. 하지만, 도심 속에서 자연과 교감할 기회는 제한적입니다. RAINDROP은 실내에서도 자연과의 연결을 지속할 수 있도록 설계되었습니다. 우산을 걸어 빗물을 모으고 이를 식물에 공급하는 과정은 단순한 물리적 행위가 아니라, 사용자에게 작은 돌봄의 루틴을 제공합니다. 빗물은 무료이며, 화학 첨가물이 없는 자연수로 식물과 토양에 부담을 주지 않습니다. 이를 통해 RAINDROP은 1인 가구의 생활 속에 자연스럽게 스며들어, 자원을 효율적으로 활용하면서도 정서적 만족감을 주는 디자인을 제안합니다.
