Xiaobi (Iris) Pan is a globally-recognized pioneer in the field of Emerging Technology Design. She has been the inventor of the sound interactive Installation visited by over 1 million participants, the app that promises to plant 100 million trees on our planet by 2025, and a series of industry-leading new technology products and experiences. Currently a Lead Designer at Amazon, she is dedicated to using technologies such as Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence to revolutionize the consumer experience for both business and social good. She has been invited to give design talks at top conferences (IEEE, e.g.), universities (including Yale University, Harvard University, Northeastern University, Tsinghua University, IIT, ArtCenter College of Design, Berklee College of Music, Emerson College, etc.), and companies (Apple Inc, e.g.).
She has been a jury member of 20+ international design awards, including the SF Design Week Awards, the IxDA Interaction Awards, the Australian Good Design Awards, Indigo Design Award, Orpetron Web Design Awards, the World Brand Design Society Awards, the Design Masterprize (DMP), the IAA Awards (TITAN, NYX, MUSE, London Design Awards, Muse Creative/Design Awards, NY Product Design Awards, Vega Digital Awards, LIT Entertainment Awards), etc. Outside of work, she likes to write, make music, and saber to her custom songs in Virtual Reality. She is a design blogger with 220k followers on Zhihu and her writings on design, technology and their social implications have influenced over 25 million readers worldwide.
